Something I'd like to see: reporting on IA failures, and what was learned from the carnage. Failure stories are a literary genre in and of themselves; even the most dispassionate, technical ones are hard to put down. That's what makes them such great learning tools.

I have been a university webmaster since 1999 and am currently working for my second major university with an average FTE of 30,000. It is my job and my passion to understand the various end-user segments of a university website and how a website can benefit them and the institution. I focus on user-centered, standards-compliant, accessible design and believe that a webmaster needs to have an amalgamation of knowledge to be successful at their job. It is not enough to be a designer or developer without knowing what is needed to truly make a website successful.
